Customer reference for renovations services as told to pickapro by Mary from Newcastle, Galway on 07-Jan-2011
When was the work done?
The work was done between June and July 2010.
What was involved?
The project involved refurbishment of my house after water damage caused by burst pipes. The refurbishment entailed new floors, doors, kitchen, electrics and plumbing, the whole spectrum really. It was a substantial job.
How did you choose C and N Carpentry?
Colin Higgins was recommended to me by a friend of mine.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Colin Higgins?
Yes.
Did Colin introduce new ideas?
Colin went along with my ideas. However, he did have recommendations with regard to the quality of materials that were available. Colin was very good in that area.
How did the project run?
The project ran fine. From my point of view, it was good to be able to put this job into the hands of someone like Colin. I felt comfortable that Colin would be able to complete the job that I wanted.
For any work that was not his specialty, like painting, Colin was very good for suggesting someone who could. For example, I wanted to change my garage door. I wouldn’t have known who to contact for that type of work. Again, Colin’s contacts helped and I got a very nice job done. Colin was very good as a central point of contact. Overall the work was very professional.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using C and N Carpentry?
In short, I would say his reliability and honesty. I had a definite budget and Colin was able to complete the project very close to his initial estimate.
Would you recommend C and N Carpentry to others?
I most certainly would. I would have no hesitation recommending Colin.
